چکیده
Birth control measures available are primarily for women which hormonal supplements that increasing cancer risks and reproductive health issues. Male contraceptive options effective available, i.e. barrier methods vasectomy. Condoms failure-prone single-use, while a vasectomy is permanent sterilization method done surgically, reversion not always successful expensive. A promising oral male drug candidate yet to be discovered. This study investigated the efficacy antioxidant potential of various extracts Leptadenia reticulata bark in rats. To effects (ethanolic petroleum ether) L. rats, administration at dose level 250 mg/kg body weight/ day was 60 days. Observations were made organ weight, hematology, serum biochemical chemistry, testosterone antioxidants, lipid profile, sperm parameters (density motility) histological changes (reproductive organs). As compared treated groups (TP ether extract), significant reduction (P ≤ 0.001) perceived motility density, as well testosterone, like SOD. Histological observations revealed arrest spermatogenesis reduced seminiferous tubule diameter, mature Leydig cells, secondary spermatogonia, spermatids caused substantial increase LPO GSH. From research findings, it can concluded extract possesses albino rats serve safe reversible males.
